![]() ![]() I know whatever apparatus we used to use for the baler belts is the wrong size, besides, I looked, I couldnt find anything in the shop that looked familiar. Our old baler belts were about 7 1/4" wide. At that time, I remember we put both ends of belt into a clamp of some sort, inserted the clips, and then tightened up in the vise, thus installing the clips in both sides of belt. About 30 years ago we removed all the belts from a JD baler and cut about 6" off and respliced all the belts. So, didnt know exactly how this is done, currently? The belt is 8" wide. I figure I better get it repaired, before it comes completely apart, right in the middle of unloading a hopper of soybeans. On my Crustbuster/Speedking seed tender, a couple of the wire loops have torn on one corner of belt. Posted 14:11 (#5301370) Subject: Splice Kit for Conveyor belt? Splice Kit for Conveyor belt?
